Volunteer Member or Wrestling Leader membership is required.
Completion of SafeSport course.
Criminal background check.
Submit registration form on USAWKS website.
Postseason
Must be both USAWKS Certified and KSHSAA Certified.
Must work at least ONE regular season tournament.
Recommendation from District Lead Official will help.
Kansas State High School Activities Association
Registration
No minimum age however those in high school can only work middle school level events and below.
Register through ArbiterSports each year.
Attend a required rules meeting (either online or in-person).
Pass 100 question open book rules test, 90% or better.
Postseason
Be in good standing with KSHSAA (all requirements above)
Attend both Area Supervisor meetings in current season. These are always in-person and there are several around the state.
Submit postseason application before the deadline.
You will need a number of recommendations from various high schools, assigners, league commissioners. You should not solicit these and your body of work will determine if they are earned.
You MUST work a regional in order to be consider for a State tournament assignment.
